Boxitect Building Challenge 2021

12 March

BibiNogs invites families to take on the Boxitect challenge this March holidays! As a family, take a trip to your neighbourhood library and borrow the book “Boxitect” by Kim Smith. Enjoy the story as a family and then brainstorm how you can be a Boxitect too!

A doll house? A spy mansion? A palace? A workshop? What better ways to let your imagination take you to worlds beyond this March holidays than to build, decorate, and furnish your very own playhouse. Your playhouse, your rules!

Tag us on social media with a picture of your creation and share with us what you made together as a family! Have lots of fun bonding and boxitect-ing!

Chinese New Year 2021 Celebrations

18 February

This Chinese New Year, our BibiNogs preschoolers deepened their understanding about the Chinese culture through activities such as yusheng tossing and receiving red packets. They even had a go at creating their own lion dance show! Everyone had great fun ushering in the year of the ox together. What a fabulous start to the year!

BibiNogs Learning Incursion 2021

18 February

From birth to early childhood, children use their senses to explore, discover and make sense of the world around them.

Providing opportunities for sensory play supports cognitive growth, language development, gross motor skills, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.

Our BibiNogs preschoolers had a blast learning through play on our Sensory Play Day!

5 Ways Children Say “I love you”

11 February

As parents, we have found ourselves hopelessly in love with our children and the littlest things that they do. As countless as the stars in the sky we want to tell them “I love you” over and over again. Through sacrifice and effort, we hope our children know we love them. And I am sure they do. But do you know that your children love you too? They might not always utter the same 3 words, but through their smallest deeds and childlike ways, they tell us. Here are some examples of how children express love, to us. Have a lovely Valentine’s Day!

On 7 December 2020, our BibiNogs teachers attended a professional development session conducted by Ms Brenda Yeow, a veteran in science education and a school leader in MOE for 43 years. The session was organised as part of our Teachers’ Training Day to upgrade our teachers’ pedagogical skills. The teachers learnt about inquiry-based learning with hands-on activities and planning of inquiry-based lessons to enable students to understand better the content of the lessons they are working on.

Online Workshop: Using Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in the Classroom

19 September

As part of our Continuing Professional Development for our teachers, three of our BibiNogs’ teachers, namely Ms Haryani, Ms Lisa Li and Ms Candice Ong joined with 100 participants in an online workshop titled “Using Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in the Classroom” on 7 and 8 September 2020 organised by the Principals Academy. The online workshop presented by Mrs Belinda Charles, Dean of Principals Academy, helps to equip teachers with the EQ skills which will give them an understanding of both self and others. It will enrich their teacher-student relationship, give them tools to teach character education, and help them create a productive workplace. This course will enable teachers to identify and understand emotions and the patterns they take as well as navigating a path between conflicting emotions while strengthening values.
