The P1 Mandarin programme is designed with Primary 1 Chinese standards in mind. It eases students gradually into an academically-focused environment, with a focus on strengthening their foundation in the Chinese language to boost their confidence and prepare them for the upcoming oral test in their primary school journey.

• Strengthen the ability to recognise, read and write Chinese characters

• Introduction to sentence structures and build up the vocabulary proficiency, Hanyu Pinyin (汉语拼音)

• Hanyu Pinyin & language exercises to reinforce understanding and enhance the use of language

• Introduction to comprehension skills in understanding and answering abilities

• Writing strokes and sequence of Chinese characters build high memory retention in word recognition and writing skills

• Storytelling and game sessions encourage participation and association learning, as required in the P1 Chinese syllabus.
